so, I got it working 3 months ago,
now I lost my cellphone and had to get the same thing working again after I got a new one... (and it nearly took me the same time since I forgot how to http://forumhtc.ru/public/ style_emoticons/default/tongue. gif)

So for all of you who want to install the rom in order to use the diamond in Japan and for my own sake a short summary what I had to do in oder to install it:

1. Install HARD SPL (I got the 1.93 from OliNex) using the Rom Update Utillity
(You can get this stuff here (http://forum.xda-developers. com/showthread.php?t=400950))
2. After installation is complete, disconnect from usb, reset the phone and hold the volume down button in oder to get to the 3 color-bar screen (The installation while the phone is running in normal mode didnt work for me... I always got an connection error then)
3. Connect USB again and wait until the phone shows usb instead of serial at the bottom
4. copy the nbh file from the dumped japanese rom into the folder of the RomUpdateUtillity and delete or rename the nbh of the HARD SPL.
5. Run the UpdateUtillity ... the Update should show 1.73.... after klicking on update. Since the phone is in the bootloader right now the update utillity cant read the installed rom version... but that doesnt matter.
Just install
6. a process bar should apear on the phone and on the computer screen.
The Update should take about 10 min as stated.
7. After successful updating you still have a little work to do. Set the phone up and try to enter the connection settings. There should be a softbank connection which cant be changed.
8. For that reason get the softbank connection cab from Kevbodian and run it
9. A new connection should appear under the connection settings which can be edited...
10. Now this is the strange stuff that always took my time ... I could make and receive calls and also receive mails but still not send them. So this part might vary from cellphone to cellphone since it seems to work for kevbodian without this step:
11. Create a new connection
Call it MMS or whatever
Accesspoint should be: mailwebservice.softbank.ne. jp
User Name: softbank
Password: qceffkarnlurqgbl
The rest is left untouched...
12. Done! ... or at least this worked for me. If you came as far as beeing able to make and receive calls and mails but not send them you may try some other connection settings that are spread over the internet.
the password stated works for most of them.
